During the event
Use Agenda for event-day planning.
Use the event-day home page
During the event, the home page focuses on current and upcoming activity.
- Open the main event page.
- Use the now-and-next area to see what is happening soon; times on another day are labeled with tomorrow or the date.
- Open Agenda and choose the view that matches whether you want your commitments, available choices, or the full schedule.
- Open session details when you need room, speaker, abstract, materials, or session chat information.
Keep offline data fresh
The installed app can keep agenda information available when the venue network is weak, but it needs a recent online sync.
- Open the app while online at the start of the day.
- Open Agenda so current event data can refresh.
- Make session choices normally; offline choices queue when the network is unavailable.
- Leave the app online again when possible so queued choices can sync.
Notes
- Staff check-in, badge printing, merchandise pickup, and capacity-sensitive actions require a live staff or attendee connection.
Manage training signup
Training signup and cancellation happen online so seat counts, waitlists, registration eligibility, and signup deadlines stay accurate.
- Open the event training page or the training link from the event page.
- Review the description, schedule, capacity, signup deadline, and eligibility notes.
- Register for the event first if the training button says Registration required.
- Use the signup action and confirm that you understand training takes up most of the agenda and that you are expected to attend the full training track.
- Use the cancellation action from the training page when you need to give up the seat.
Join or propose a birds-of-a-feather session
Birds-of-a-feather sessions are informal discussion sessions placed into available event time.
- Open the birds-of-a-feather page from the event or agenda navigation.
- Review proposed sessions and join the ones you plan to attend.
- Use the proposal action to suggest a new discussion topic when proposals are open, choosing start and end times inside the event's birds-of-a-feather period.
- After submitting, use the same form to edit the description or cancel your submitted session.
- Check Agenda after joining so the session appears alongside your other commitments.
Notes
- You can have one active proposed birds-of-a-feather session per event. Cancel it first if you want to propose a different one.
- Joining is blocked when the session overlaps something already on your agenda.
